Following the denunciation published by Piranjat News, the director of the AKZM in Vlora, Martin Goriçi , has been dismissed from his post, who was involved in a series of accusations of abuse of office, nepotism and violation of the law in public administration.
The denunciation, accompanied by a video, raised serious doubts about the management of the Blue Eye protected area.
According to the information made public, it was alleged that Goriç had allowed and favored illegal activities by a private entity, family-related to him.
According to the complainant's testimony, unauthorized individuals imposed fees on tourists visiting the area, while the revenues were not channeled through official state channels.
Likewise, the activity took place during the evening hours, even accompanying tourists to private settings, raising concerns about security and legality.
Further, the complaint emphasized that the person involved was employed by the Municipality of Gjirokastra and simultaneously carried out activities in the protected area, turning this into a "family business" at the expense of public property.
After the publication of this data and the public reaction, the authorities have taken the measure of dismissing the director, while it is expected that the case will be followed up further for verifications and legal liability./ Piranjat News
