The endless and pointless struggle to remove "Non Grata" in the USA!

Instead of appearing as people with clear minds and clear intentions to find the formula to overthrow Edi Rama, the DP, Dr. Berisha and its exponents seem more like a voice drowned in its own labyrinth of political illusions, a voice that scratches the air of thought with weightless words.

With a pale, worn-out vocabulary and a distorted logic, they try to give legitimacy to a claim that has long been receiving the bitter but clear response of the West's closed doors.

But since the last few days have started again with the symphony of justifications and media manipulation of "Soros declared us unworthy", perhaps another fact-check should be done.

Is Nongrata against Berisha a lobbying effort by George and Alex Soros?

As of now, one absolute truth remains: the United States' stance towards Berisha has not wavered one bit.

The repeated statements of the State Department, the words of the ambassador, the frequent meetings of American officials with the majority and the opposition, categorically excluding Berisha, are proof of a stable and planned narrative, not an accident of time or the desire of George Soros or Edi Rama.

But let's take the DP's claims one by one and confront them with the facts:

1. New State Department report and re-instatement of "non-grata" status:

The latest State Department report, including the March 2025 part, reconfirms Berisha's "non-grata" status and highlights SPAK's investigations. State Department supports SPAK's efficiency in seizing assets, both in Berisha's case and in the assets of crime. So far we are within the framework of the facts, written in official documents such as the State Department report, but let's make a simple argument:

If this announcement were simply a dirty political game by Soros and Edi Rama, how could it be reflected in an official report by a Republican administration? How could US Secretary of State Marco Rubio sign it twice: in March and on August 12??

I understand that where there is diplomatic clarity, it is sought to be obscured by provincial rhetoric:

2. They used the ridiculous excuse that the report was drafted by the Biden administration and the Trump administration did not have time to review it.

Dear friends, this falls flat in the face of the fact that the document was verified and published without any changes from March to August, with the seal and signature of M. Rubio!

Nëse Trump do të kishte menduar se Berisha është viktimë e Sorosit, do ta kishte hequr menjëherë.

6. Logjika politike se përse Trump sulmon Soros

I am one of those who think that Soros is the embodiment of evil, and his war is very complicated. He seeks to lead the West into social conflict with waves of immigrants from the Middle East, to clash cultures and to create chaos and social conflict. In this way he speculates on the stock markets and buys and sells stocks and securities of Western countries in the most profitable way, at great costs to the West. Here is Trump's war with the demon Soros.

But where does Berisha fit into this conflict?! And then if Soros had declared Berisha's non-wife, Trump would have immediately removed it as a political counterattack. If the DASH report was a product of Soros, the Trump administration would not have published it but would have brought Berisha out as their ally in Europe. None of this happened.

7. The "internal interference" argument
Anyone who suggests that the "non grata" declaration is a type of interference in Albanian internal politics has major problems with logic.

In fact, the declaration of "persona non grata" is not a political intervention, but a sovereign diplomatic act of a state that decides who enters and who does not enter its territory. This act is universal, applied to hundreds of individuals in the world, from Latin America to Europe, and is not exclusive to Albania.

And finally the "double standards" argument!

Some think that the US is distinguishing between Rama and Berisha, protecting one and attacking the other.

But how can it be seen as a provincial game in the village cafe between the farmer and his two cows that he is making distinctions between?!

The US does not operate on the basis of “one politician against another”. Berisha’s case is unique, because he is the first and only former Albanian president and former prime minister to be declared non grata. This speaks to the gravity of the accusations, not to any “like” towards Rama. Because neither Nano nor Ilir Meta, nor any other former prime minister, was declared non grata!

In the end, in the face of sophisms and empty words, there is an irrefutable fact: Berisha has been declared Nongrata and with the approval of the Trump Administration. Whoever tries to convince us otherwise only demonstrates the poverty of their own thinking, but at great cost to the Opposition!

The people who voted for Berisha on May 11th did so with full awareness of his non-grata. If the focus is the overthrow of Edi Rama, there is no longer any sense in the Donquixote-esque struggle to cover the Sun with a sieve with Berisha's non-grata.

Non-grata is not a shadow that disappears with the changing political sun, but rather a seal that resists time and administrations.
