Trump and Xi "lower temperatures" between the US and China, here's what Beijing promises during the meeting between the two leaders

Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted US President Donald Trump in one of the most protected and symbolic areas of Chinese power, the Zhongnanhai complex in Beijing, where China's top leaders live and work.
The visit was considered the highlight of Trump's last day in China, before his return to Washington.
After the meeting and tour of the government complex, the two leaders held a joint press conference, where they spoke about issues related to trade, the Middle East, and relations between the two countries.
Trump said important topics were discussed during the talks, including Iran and regional security. He said the US does not want Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and that it is important that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, given recent tensions in the Middle East.
On the other hand, Xi Jinping spoke of a new phase in relations between China and the United States, hinting that the two countries are seeking more cooperation in economics and diplomacy.
Earlier in the day, in an interview with Fox News, Trump said that Xi had given him assurances that China would not supply Iran with military equipment, although Beijing would continue to buy Iranian oil.
The US president also indicated that China has agreed to buy American oil and about 200 Boeing aircraft, agreements that he said are expected to positively impact the US economy and create new jobs.
Trump described the atmosphere of the talks as more positive than previous meetings between the two countries. He also mentioned the possibility of Xi Jinping visiting the United States on September 24, saying he expects the Chinese leader to be as impressed with America as he was with China during his visit to Beijing.
