Shocking in Turkey / Young man kills ex-fiancée who became pregnant from rape!

A tragic event has shocked the city of Istanbul and public opinion in Turkey, after an 18-year-old pregnant girl was shot dead by her 19-year-old fiancé, in what is being considered another case of extreme violence against women under the pretext of "honor".

The victim, Oya Budak, was six months pregnant when she was fatally shot in the chest and ear.

According to local media reports dha.com.tr, Oya had previously been the victim of sexual abuse, from which she became pregnant. To avoid scandal, the families decided on an engagement between her and the perpetrator, Samet, 19. But, after learning of the pregnancy, he decided to call off the engagement.

On Thursday evening, Samet called Oya and invited her to meet for a chat. The young woman accepted and went to the meeting together with her 13-year-old brother. Under circumstances that are still unclear, the young man pulled out a gun and shot Oya with two bullets, causing serious injuries.

After the incident, the perpetrator fled in his father's car, trying to escape. Residents of the area, alarmed by the noise of the conflict, immediately notified the police.

Oya was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent surgery, but unfortunately the doctors were unable to save her life or that of the baby she was carrying in her womb.

Turkish authorities organized a large-scale search operation and managed to arrest the 19-year-old at his uncle's house.

Samet was arrested and then transferred to prison, while he is also charged with sexual abuse of Oya before their engagement.

While being escorted to the prosecutor's office, a journalist asked the perpetrator about the motive for the murder. His answer was shocking:

"I don't regret it. Get out of there!"
