USA/ Operation against illegal immigrants in Massachusetts, 1,500 arrested

The Trump administration has launched a new operation against illegal immigration in Massachusetts, called Patriot 2.0, following a wave of deportations that occurred in May, leading to the arrest of 1,500 people in the state.

The operation is expected to last several weeks. “The actions promoted by Boston Mayor Michelle Wu not only attract criminals, but also pose threats to public safety.

"Law enforcement is arresting sex offenders, pedophiles, murderers, drug traffickers, and gang members released by local authorities," the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.
