Gaza ceasefire agreement, Rubio: Disarming Hamas won't be easy

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that a peace deal for Gaza, which includes the disarmament and demobilization of Hamas, "will not be easy."

In an interview with NBC News, he stressed that, although Hamas has accepted the agreement "in principle", implementing this phase poses a major challenge.

" We will know very soon whether Hamas is serious or not, by how these technical and logistical talks go ," Rubio said, underlining the importance of the discussions expected to take place tomorrow in Egypt between Hamas, Israeli and US delegates.

Regarding the issue of the remaining hostages, Rubio expressed hope that they will be released "as soon as possible," calling this an important step towards peace.
