Lavrov calls Rubio, Russia warns of new attacks and demands evacuation of US diplomats from Kiev

Sergey Lavrov has informed his American counterpart, Marco Rubio, about Moscow's decision to strike facilities in Kiev linked to the Ukrainian armed forces, while also urging the US to evacuate diplomatic staff from the Ukrainian capital.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a telephone conversation on Monday, Lavrov stated that the Russian strikes are a "response to the ongoing terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime" against civilians on Russian territory.

Moscow stressed that Russian armed forces have launched "systematic attacks" on facilities in Kiev used for the needs of the Ukrainian military, as well as on decision-making centers.
At the same time, Lavrov urged the US to withdraw US embassy personnel from Kiev, referring to the Russian Foreign Ministry's warning to countries that have diplomatic missions in the Ukrainian capital.
According to the Russian statement, Moscow has called on foreign governments "to ensure the departure of their diplomatic personnel and citizens from Kiev," amid rising tensions and attacks in the region.
