Israel continues offensive against Lebanon, issues evacuation order for Beirut suburbs

Israel has issued an evacuation alert for suburbs in southern Beirut, hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed more attacks on Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces said they "continue operations and attacks against military infrastructure" belonging to the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militant group.

Earlier, Netanyahu said Israel would carry out more attacks on Hezbollah, which is based in Lebanon.

"Our message is clear: Anyone who acts against Israeli civilians will be hit," he said.

"We will continue to attack Hezbollah wherever necessary, until we restore complete security for the residents of the north," Netanyahu said.
