"Ignored warnings, enforced maritime law"/ Iranian forces attack container ship near Oman

Iran's armed forces opened fire on a container ship about 15 nautical miles northeast of Oman, causing significant damage, according to a report from UK Maritime Trade Operations.
The report states that a Revolutionary Guards warship approached the vessel and then opened fire, severely damaging the bridge. However, no fires or environmental pollution have been reported.
"The entire crew was found and is safe," the statement said. Authorities did not disclose the ship's flag or country of origin.
Meanwhile, the semi-official Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that the Iranian military had applied "maritime law" to the ship, claiming that it had ignored repeated warnings from naval authorities.
