"Crazy" dinner between Musk and Zuckenberg - Photo from the Epstein dossier that shows connections to some of the most famous figures

A new photo released from Jeffrey Epstein's files has brought his connections to some of the most famous figures back into the spotlight. The photo shows a 2015 dinner party where Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel are seen at the same table. Epstein himself later boasted that the gathering was "crazy."
The photo was released as part of documents released by the US Department of Justice. According to British media, the image was emailed by Epstein to himself on August 3, 2015, just the day after he attended the lavish dinner with the tech titans. Epstein also had a copy of the photo framed in his Manhattan apartment, indicating the importance he attached to the meeting.
Emails included in the dossier show that the dinner took place on August 2, 2015. A few weeks later, in an email dated August 20, 2015, to billionaire Tom Pritzker, Epstein described the meeting as “crazy.” That description has now come back into focus as public scrutiny grows over the disgraced financier’s relationships with powerful figures in business and technology.
After the release of these documents, the people named in the dossier have begun to downplay any connection to Epstein. This comes as the Justice Department has released more than three million documents related to the social network and its activities, shedding light on the numerous contacts he had with politicians, businessmen and public figures.
However, it is important to note that appearing in photographs or documents does not constitute proof of any wrongdoing or involvement in illegal activity. Elon Musk's case is one of the most controversial, as his name appears several times in the files, including in previous email exchanges that suggest a friendly relationship between him and Epstein several years before the 2015 dinner.
Despite these revelations, Musk, now the world's richest man, has consistently denied being close to Epstein. In an interview with Vanity Fair, he stated that he did not know the late financier that well.
“I don’t recall introducing Epstein to anyone, because I don’t know him well enough to do that. Epstein is definitely a weirdo, and Zuckerberg is not a friend of mine.” Musk also responded on Platform X on January 31, denying claims that he had attended Epstein’s rallies or parties. He wrote that he had never been to any of Epstein’s parties and that he has consistently called for those who committed crimes in collaboration with him to be prosecuted.
The release of this photo and accompanying documents has reopened the debate over how Jeffrey Epstein managed to establish and maintain connections with extremely powerful people, even after the convictions and scandals that have accompanied his name. Meanwhile, public opinion continues to demand transparency and fuller explanations about these relationships, without prejudice, but demanding accountability where there is evidence. (Daily Beast)
