The perpetrator of the murder of Egli Pashollar has been arrested. Journalist Xhensila Kodra told News24 that the suspected perpetrator of the murder, Gazment Buçpapa, was arrested in Tropoja.
We recall that the serious incident occurred in the former Park area in Tirana, where the victim was 31-year-old Pashollari on February 20.
The operation codenamed "Distance" is being finalized by the Tirana Police and Prosecution.
As a result of intensive pursuit and well-organized operational work, the perpetrator of the stabbing of citizen EP was located and arrested.
The perpetrator, a GB citizen, was kept under surveillance while hiding in an apartment in Tropoja.
As a result of professional operational actions, carried out in coordination with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, to locate and detain the perpetrator of the murder of citizen EP, committed on 20.02.2026, during a conflict on "Kongresi i Lushnjes" street, specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector of the Tirana Local Police Directorate finalized the operation codenamed "Distanca".
As part of this operation, after being located and kept under surveillance in the apartment where he was hiding in his hometown, in Tropoja, citizen GB, 40 years old, was detained for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder" and "Unlicensed Production, Possession, Purchase or Sale of Cold Weapons".
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
