"Scandal in the Central Pharmacy of the University Hospital", KLSH:

A report by the Supreme State Audit Office (SSA) has revealed serious violations at the Central Pharmacy of the University Hospital, where expired drugs were kept in active condition, deceiving the system and endangering patients.

According to the report, the following were listed as active stock in the Pentaho electronic system:

602 vials of Methotrexate in two dosage forms (500 mg and 50 mg/2 ml)

Meanwhile, journalist Osman Stafa, in a Facebook post about the health of cancer patients, writes that the drugs are suspected of being used on patients.

Scandal at the Central Pharmacy of the University Hospital of Tirana

The State Supreme Audit Office report has revealed that the Central Pharmacy of the University Hospital of Tirana has kept expired drugs in active condition, deceiving the system and endangering patients.

Specifically, in the Pentaho electronic system, the following appeared as active stock:

-602 vials of Methotrexate in two dosage forms (500 mg and 50 mg/2 ml)

(These drugs are for cancer patients)

"Despite having expired, these drugs still result in the Pentaho system, posing a risk of keeping expired stocks in the system and artificially increasing the drug situation."

This is not just negligence. It is a direct failure of the Central Pharmacy, which has not removed expired drugs from use and has manipulated the inventory, creating the false impression that there are reserves while patients are left without treatment.

What we don't know is whether these expired drugs have been used on patients?
