The investigation into the murder of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi appears to have taken another turn.
The 44-year-old, whose body was found lifeless on the side of the road in the village of Salari, Tepelena, shortly after midnight on Friday (September 27), suffered only one bullet to the head.
Meanwhile, Gazment Braçe, the son of the victim's partner at the "Tegola Edil Centro" brick factory in the capital, who was at the crime scene but had left, was also accompanied to the police.
The cause of the murder is initially suspected to be disagreements between two partners, Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi, and citizen Eqerem Braçe, also accompanied by police.
It is reported that father and son, Eqerem and Gazment Braçe , lived in Tirana, while in the village where the crime occurred they had a house that they had restored and returned from time to time to stay.
The victim was hunting together with 3 other people, including his partner Eqerem Braçe and the latter's son, Gazment Braçe.
It is reported that they traveled to the scene of the incident in two cars, a Land Rover and a Volkswagen, which were found at the scene by police.
It was the victim's partner who notified the police about the murder of the 44-year-old Italian man, who had lived in Tirana for 20 years.
In his version given to the police, he stated that a person stepped in front of his vehicle and shot at them.
He stated that he attempted to provide first aid to the victim by removing the body from the vehicle and then notified the police.
According to him, the person who shot him fled in an unknown direction, and due to the darkness, he was unable to identify him.
This is suspected to be the reason why the 44-year-old Italian's dead body was outside the car, according to testimony given by Eqerem Braçe.
In addition to Eqerem Braçe and his son, another person was accompanied by the police, whose identity is not yet known, as is the relationship he had with the two partners.

At around 00:30, in the village of Salari, in a place called "Dilan", Italian citizen ES, 44 years old, resident of Tirana, was found dead on the street, suspected of being killed with a firearm.
Police services, upon receiving the notification, immediately went to the scene.
A special investigative group has been established, which, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working intensively to clarify the circumstances, legal documentation, as well as to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
Meanwhile, the Police services, in cooperation with the Fier and Vlora Local Police Directorates, are conducting checks in various areas and environments, to apprehend the perpetrator(s).
