Gener 2 denounces the clashes in Rrjoll: Violence cannot replace documents and institutions
Gener 2 strongly condemns the events that occurred today in Rrjoll, which constitute a serious act of violence against law and order in Albania.
Unauthorized persons have forcibly entered the construction site, exercising physical violence against our employees, beating people present, breaking work equipment and damaging machinery.
This is a dangerous criminal attack, which not only threatens a private investment, not only the investment climate in the country, but also creates a dangerous precedent that violence can replace court decisions, attacks can replace legal documents, and the mob can replace and rule over institutions.
At the same time, we express serious concern about the lack of preventive response from the responsible bodies, specifically from the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, which has long been aware of the artificially created tensions in the area, but has not taken clear actions to curb the escalation to prevent this moment from happening.
Inaction, in such cases, turns into open encouragement of violence.
Equally responsible are those who have been fueling the climate of conflict for days, the so-called portals that feed false narratives about dark interests and itinerant politicians who appear on the ground only to ignite the conflict situation and capitalize on the tension for other purposes.
We call on the State Police and justice bodies to act immediately, to identify the perpetrators, organizers and instigators of this violence and to hold them accountable, without any tolerance.
Any individual who has committed violence within the construction site must face legal consequences, IMMEDIATELY!
We call on the High Inspectorate of Justice to immediately take action to review the actions and inactions of prosecutors who have encouraged self-justification, becoming in a way partners with the perpetrators.
We ask the government to guarantee the security of legitimate investments and prevent any vandals who try to impose their wishes and claims, not with documents and legal acts, but with force.
We also call on serious political forces not to encourage violence and the use of force to the detriment of business and investment, because not every protest has legitimacy.
In conclusion, we express our determination that violence will not stop development, intimidation will not stop the law, and the project will be implemented in full compliance with the law, despite the fact that in addition to the mud on the ground, we must also face the mud of slander and irresponsibility that tries to hinder it.
