It is suspected that he kidnapped and killed Ridvan Lamajn, who is Adrian

Police announced today (April 5) that Adrian Ogiçi, a person known to Albanian authorities, has been arrested in Spain.

According to investigations, in June 2015, Adrian Ogiçi, in collaboration with Vitor Islam and other unidentified persons, kidnapped citizen Ridvan Lamaj on the Saranda promenade.

At that time, Lamaj was forced into a BMW X5 vehicle and then transported to the Xarra area, in Konispol.

It is suspected that Lamaj was executed in this very area, and his body disappeared. Even today, more than a decade later, the body has not been found.

HISTORY ACCORDING TO THE COURT FILE

It is proven that the defendants Adrian Ogiçi and Vitor Islami, as well as the injured party Ridvan Lamaj, had previous acquaintances and social relationships with each other. According to the court, the defendants Ogiçi and Islami, as well as the injured party Ridvan Lamaj and citizen AK were involved in the trafficking of cannabis to Greece.

This trafficking was carried out by transporting the narcotics on foot, outside the border crossing points, where the defendant Adrian Ogiçi was in the role of the financier and provider of the narcotics. While the defendant Vitor Islami, together with citizens Ridvan Lamaj and AK, transported it on foot, loaded themselves, outside the border crossing points, into Greek territory.

A few days before June 17, 2015, it turns out that he, together with the defendant Islami and AK, on Ogić's orders, transported a quantity of drugs across the border. Along the way, after entering Greek territory, the injured party Ridvan Lamaj did not continue on his way to his destination, but turned back to Albania.

After the return of the injured party Ridvan Lamaj, the defendant Vitor Islami and the citizen AK continued on their way to deliver the narcotics to their destination. Along the way, at night, around 21:00-21:30, they were approached by two masked individuals who attempted to rob them of the narcotics.

They had no results and after this attack, the defendant Vitor Islami and citizen AK returned, together with the narcotics, which they handed over, in Konispol, to the defendant Adrian Ogiçi, who was in his "BMW" car, with license plates 515 IY. The narcotics were not captured and seized by the Albanian authorities.

After meeting with the defendant Adrian Ogiçi, the defendant Vitor Islami and citizen AK told him that the injured party Ridvan Lamaj had returned to the middle of the road, as well as the fact that, after the injured party Ridvan Lamaj left, the defendant Vitor Islami and citizen AK were confronted by two people wearing masks who had attempted to rob them of the narcotics, but had failed to do so.

For this incident that occurred in Greek territory, the defendants Adrian Ogiçi and Vitor Islami have accused the injured party Ridvan Lamaj, who, according to the defendants, had ordered masked people to rob them of the narcotics. In relation to this fact, they have also argued with each other, where the injured party has denied having sent masked people to rob them of the narcotics.

On 17.6.2015, at around 17:30, the defendant Adrian Ogiçi and citizen AK went to the apartment of the injured party Ridvan Lamaj, with the intention of meeting him, and there they found the injured party's wife, citizen M. Lamaj, and asked her where the injured party was.

She told them that her husband had gone out to Saranda for coffee and at the defendant's request, she spoke to the injured party on her sister-in-law's phone. The defendant Adrian Ogiçi himself spoke to her and then they left.

After communicating by phone, the injured party Ridvan Lamaj met with the defendants Adrian Ogiçi and Vitor Islami, on the promenade of the city of Saranda. The injured party entered the vehicle of the defendant Adrian Ogiçi, type “BMW” X5, with license plates 515 IY, where he sat in the front seat. The defendant Adrian Ogiçi was in the driver’s seat and the defendant Vitor Islami was in the back seat, behind the driver’s seat.

After getting into the car, the three men left the city of Saranda. The defendants Ogiçi and Islami, convinced that the injured party Ridvan Lamaj was the person who had organized the people who had gone out at night, in Greek territory, to rob them of the narcotics, in revenge for this act committed by the injured party, planned and then organized his kidnapping and holding him hostage.

At the moment the injured party sat in the front passenger seat, who went into the vehicle, thinking that the two defendants had called him to discuss the problems they had between them and was unaware of the plan organized by the defendants to kidnap and hold him hostage, after the vehicle doors were closed and the vehicle took a turn to move and leave the city of Saranda, the defendants Adrian Ogiçi and Vitor Islami immediately blocked the movements of the injured party Ridvan Lamaj, depriving him of his freedom, by force, carrying out his kidnapping, as well as taking the mobile phones he was carrying with him, a fact that was proven by the shouting and swearing that bystanders heard at these moments.
