A merchant ship carrying grain sank in the Sea of Azov on April 5, leaving at least one dead and two missing, according to a Russian official.
Vladimir Saldo, appointed by Russia to administer the Moscow-controlled areas in Ukraine's Kherson region, announced on Telegram that nine crew members had been found alive on shore and that all were Russian citizens.

According to him, one of the captain's assistants has lost his life, while two other people are missing. Authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
