The oldest coach in history collapses in training, UEFA rejects the request for the absurd match

Mircea Lucescu collapsed in training today as Romania prepares for the match against Slovakia. The Romanian coach was rushed to hospital, while UEFA rejected the federation's request for the match not to be played. And why should it be said that it is an absurd match with Slovakia, as both teams were eliminated in the semi-finals of the "play off" for the World Cup.
Lucescu is also known as the legendary Romanian coach, and at the age of 80, he holds the record as the oldest in the history of national teams.
Romanian Football Federation announcements:
The Romanian Football Federation would like to inform the public and media representatives about the medical incident that occurred today at the Romanian national team's training camp.
During the technical meeting that preceded the last training session before the departure for Slovakia, coach Mircea Lucescu felt unwell. First aid measures were immediately taken by members of the national team's medical staff, who provided first aid on site.
After a call to the emergency service 112, two SMURD teams rushed to the training base. The rapid intervention of the medical staff allowed the technician to be quickly stabilized.
At the moment, the coach's condition is stable. However, according to the medical protocols in force and to eliminate any risk, Mircea Lucescu was transported to a hospital unit in the capital for detailed investigations and specialized monitoring.
UPDATE 1 | This morning's training was canceled, the players were affected by what happened. For this reason, the Federation tried to cancel the match in Bratislava as well, but this was unsuccessful. At the same time, it was considered that the Romanian delegation would leave for Slovakia tomorrow, but the only available flight would have been too late.
Under these conditions, the program remained unchanged, with the scheduled departure for this evening, at 6:30 PM.
UPDATE 2 | Coach Mircea Lucescu is at the University Hospital, undergoing diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions necessary to stabilize his heart rhythm.
The national team will travel to Bratislava this evening without Mircea Lucescun, as he will remain hospitalized for monitoring and specialized treatment. Duties for the match against Slovakia will be taken over by former international player Ionel Gane, assistant coach of the first representative team.
