Brutal heel kick/ 10 stitches in the face, how is Donnarumma's health

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma caused a major scare during the match between PSG and Monaco after suffering a brutal blow that left his face bloody.

He suffered a "facial" trauma with "multiple injuries", according to the initial diagnosis by the club's medical team. This follows a direct kick to the face by Wilfried Singo's boot during Wednesday's game against Monaco.

The Italian international goalkeeper was forced to leave the game in the 20th minute at Monaco's Stade Louis II due to injury. PSG confirmed in an official medical update on their website that Donnarumma will return to Paris with the squad tonight.

Today the goalkeeper will undergo further medical tests to assess the extent of the impact and the visible damage to his face.

"He will have to remain inactive for a few days," PSG said in their update.
