For more than 20 years, Kevin Spacey was one of Hollywood's most acclaimed actors. With two Oscars and iconic roles in some of the most important films of modern cinema, he was considered one of the names that set the standard for acting. A few days ago, Spacey returned to the media spotlight, but this time not for a new role. In an interview with The Telegraph, he said that he "literally has no home," that he lives between hotels, Airbnbs, and that his belongings are scattered in storage.
“I go where the work is,” he said, a phrase that describes more clearly than any analysis the gap between former glory and today's reality.
After numerous reactions, Spacey published a video on Instagram to clarify the situation:
"In light of recent reports claiming I am homeless, I feel the need to respond. Not to the press, but to the thousands of people who have contacted me to offer me a place to stay."
He expressed his gratitude for the public's support, but stressed that his situation should not be misinterpreted:
“It would be misleading to let you think I am truly homeless in the everyday sense of the word.”
What he is experiencing, according to him, is a life in constant motion, dictated by the lack of sustainable projects.
