Iran launches largest missile attack on Israel since war began
Iran launched its largest missile attack on Israel since the start of the war today, the Times of Israel reported, citing the military, shortly before the start of the Jewish holiday of Passover.
Eyewitnesses said six rocket alarms were heard within an hour in Tel Aviv alone.
About 10 ballistic missiles were fired at central Israel. Most of them were intercepted by air defenses, while some others were allowed to fall in open terrain.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it had launched strikes on dozens of "terrorist targets" in central Tehran.
The week-long Jewish festival of Passover begins tonight, during which Jews commemorate the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and their liberation from slavery.
Iranian reports said the United States and Israel had launched airstrikes during celebrations for the Persian New Year, or Nowruz, on March 20.
