No Botox, no makeup, the "sacrifices" of actress Amanda Seyfried for her new role

Actors often make huge sacrifices for a role, even to their appearance. Some lose dozens of pounds, others shave their heads or grow beards for months.
In the case of Amanda Seyfried, for her new role in the film "The Testament of Ann Lee", she accepted two clear conditions from director Mona Fastvold: to appear on screen without makeup and not to get Botox for at least a year.
"I'm an actress, this is my job and this is what I love to do," she told Etalk.
"I can give up some things that I love. Of course I can. We make sacrifices and it's worth it. We enjoyed every day. We weren't just surviving, we were happy."
In a previous interview, Seyfried had revealed that stopping Botox for a year was a serious commitment.
"When I first got Botox, I thought it was fantastic because I wrinkle my forehead a lot. But now it was important for the role not to use it at all," she said.
The film "The Testament of Ann Lee" had its premiere on September 1 at the Venice Film Festival and was greeted with a standing ovation that lasted 15 minutes, the longest at this year's edition, surpassing the 13-minute applause for Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein."
According to the festival's official description, it is an epic tale inspired by the life of Ann Lee, the founder of the radical religious sect Shakers, which emerged in the late 18th century.
