The meeting of the Immunities Council has begun, where a decision is expected to be made regarding the mandate of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, following SPAK's request for her arrest.

Journalist Ergys Gjençaj reports that the head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has raised concerns about the delay of the Prosecution's request for the arrest of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku for more than 2 months.

"You have obstructed justice for 2 months, you have violated the Constitution and the Regulation," Bardhi said.

Also, Gazment Bardhi requested at the Immunity Council meeting that the meeting be open and the media be allowed to follow it. Respecting the prosecutor's request to maintain investigative secrecy, I think that the meeting should be open and only in cases where the prosecutor wants to share with the Council a piece of information that constitutes an investigative secret, it should be decided that the provision of that information be done behind closed doors.

"In principle, the meetings of the Assembly bodies are open and there is no reason for this meeting to be held behind closed doors. You, Mr. Speaker, have the obligation to put this to a vote. You cannot hide from the public the theft of millions of euros by Belinda Balluku, or the complicity of Edi Rama in this matter," Gazment Bardhi is reported to have said.
