The fifth consecutive protest by citizens against the project to build a tourist resort in the protected area of ​​Zvërnec began this Thursday.

Citizens, environmental activists, and civil society representatives have gathered again at "Skënderbej" Square, from where they are expected to march towards the Prime Minister's Office to oppose the project that, according to them, endangers one of the most important natural and ecological areas in the country.

"There is no dialogue, only resignation!", "Zvërneci is not touched!" and "Revolution!" were some of the calls and chants heard from protesters during the gathering in downtown Tirana.

The protest organizers have chosen as the slogan for today's rally the motto: "Our voice, our dignity, our future", emphasizing that opposition to the project will continue until the authorities withdraw from plans for tourist development in the protected area.
