Renowned columnist Artan Hoxha has made a strong statement, saying that 15 tons of cocaine have been lost in our country, after being stolen from its guarantors.
Invited to Euronews Albania, Hoxha said that the cartel that owns this shipment has set a $30 million bounty to kill those who took the cocaine.
The journalist also said that behind the robbery of this cocaine shipment, worth around 200 million euros, lies a powerful criminal group.
Hoxha: There is another incident, when the first one comes, you will remember me. They lost 15 tons of cocaine. They came and lost 15 tons in our country. And there is a 30 million dollar bounty circulating to kill those who took the cargo, and it is the cartel that has set this bounty.
They landed 15 tons of cocaine in Albania and those who guaranteed this cargo robbed it. Of course, those who abandoned it are not just any people, since it is about 200 million dollars. They guaranteed that they would cut the cargo and take it to the hidden base, where it would then be distributed piece by piece.
