The majority and the opposition agree in the Assembly! The resolution on EU integration is voted on, only one DP MP abstains

In a rare political development in Parliament, the majority and opposition have joined forces to approve the draft resolution on the country's European integration process.

With 114 votes in favor and 1 abstention, the majority and the opposition approved the draft resolution put to the vote. It is learned that the MP who abstained is Bujar Leskaj, of the Democratic Party.

At a moment when the positions between the SP and the DP seem to be deepening, "white smoke" appeared in the Assembly to reach consensus on this document.

The resolution envisages comprehensive cooperation and joint commitment to advancing Albania's accession process to the European Union.

It emphasizes the need for inclusive political and social dialogue, with the aim of ensuring a national consensus on European priorities.

The consensus among political parties is one of the few cases of broad cooperation in the Assembly on European integration issues, signaling a unified stance in the face of the negotiation process with the EU.
