The former prime minister appears in a video at the event organized by China to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Japanese occupation of China.

Massimo D'Alema was also present at the Beijing military parade with Chinese leaders Xi and Russian leader Putin. A "serious" incident, said the head of Azione, Carlo Calenda, commenting on a video published on X containing an interview with the former PDS secretary on Chinese television.

"D'Alema will pay homage to Putin, Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping. While young people are dying in Ukraine defending their freedom and ours. A real 'Salvini-level' piece," writes Calenda in X.

In the interview published on social media, D'Alema, in Beijing for the military parade, recalls "the power of memory and commemoration of a heroic war like that of the Chinese people, so important not only for China, but for all of humanity in defeating Nazism and fascism."

"We are living," the former prime minister adds, as festive music plays in the video, "in a difficult time for international relations. I hope and believe that Beijing will send a message of peace, cooperation, restoration of a spirit of friendship between all peoples and an end to the wars that unfortunately so tragically bled the various countries of the world." The event, organized to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Japanese occupation of China, was attended by 23 heads of state and government, including Vladimir Putin of Russia, Kim Jong-un of North Korea, Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus and the head of the Burmese military junta, Min Aung Hlaing. Last week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China announced D'Alema's participation in the ceremony, along with former statesmen from other countries.

Former Italian left-wing Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema, who has since retired from politics to pursue his private business, has made a lot of money serving as a lobbyist, just like his counterparts Tony Blair and Gerard Schröder. They know how to hunt down profitable clients, and one of them is likely Edi Rama.

The Italian right-wing newspaper Il Giornale, which Lapsi.al has read, has dedicated an article to him, which begins with the phrase that "D'Alema has an excellent sense of business". It provides a balance sheet of the profits of his consulting company, DL&M advisor, which the former prime minister and former DS secretary controls 100% and which he founded in 2019, after leaving active political life.

"The company's objective is "consultancy in the field of internationalization processes" of various foreign markets "for the search and attraction of investments from private companies" - says the article read by Lapsi.al. "A profitable business, given that the balance of 2024 was closed with 1,578,170 euros in profit, an increase compared to 1,358,662 euros in 2023 and especially with 393,807 euros set aside in 2022."

After providing data on other businesses in agriculture and wine production, "Il Giornale" also says an interesting fact about Albania.

"There is, however, no reference to D'Alema's entrepreneurial adventure in Albania. The shares of the consulting company founded in Tirana in January 2023 "A&I Albania" are registered in the personal name of the former prime minister, therefore they are not linked to the chain of companies established in Italy," the daily writes.

In fact, the existence of this Albanian society of D'Alema was first revealed by the strong investigative show of RAI3 "Report". Italian journalist Giorgio Mottola directly asked Edi Rama if the former Italian Prime Minister was working as a lobbyist for him, given the fact that he has appeared in interviews defending Rama in the Italian press.
