Trump: I want to meet with Khamenei, Iran will give up nuclear weapons

Donald Trump stated that Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is involved in talks to end the war and said he "would like to meet him."
Khamenei, meanwhile, has not been seen in public since the start of the conflict and has spoken only through written statements read on television.
American officials have repeatedly claimed that he is incapacitated or is being treated for serious injuries sustained in the bombings that killed his father, Ali Khamenei.
Trump told the New York Post that "Mojtaba is involved" in the negotiations and that "they have a lot of respect for him," although he stressed that he has never met him and does not know much about his health.
When asked if he would meet, Trump responded that he would be willing to meet anyone and that a meeting could happen in the future, depending on developments.
He further expanded on his currently unconfirmed claims by the other side, saying that Iran has agreed not to have nuclear weapons.
In another statement, Trump rejected the idea that Benjamin Netanyahu had manipulated him into starting a war with Iran, saying that he himself started the conflict to prevent the Islamic Republic from possessing such weapons. Without my intervention, the US president added, "Israel would no longer exist."
