"We are facing a reborn autocracy", Tabaku: Dictators fall, Albania is eternal!

A national protest by the Democratic Party of Albania has begun in the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where citizens and opposition supporters have gathered to express their stances against the government.
The next speaker at the rally was DP MP Jorida Tabaku.
"Dear citizens, democrats, in these years I have spoken in many halls, but I have never been as excited as when I speak in front of democrats, free people," said Tabaku at the beginning of her speech.
She recalled the toppling of the dictator's monument as a key moment in the country's history. "The toppling of the dictator's monument was a turning point for us, it was the end of a horror and a ruthless dictatorship. This was a triumph. All dictators and autocrats fall. All their monuments fall at the feet of free people. Light always finds its way. Freedom always triumphs, even in the darkness of dictatorship," she declared.
Tabaku went on to accuse Prime Minister Edi Rama of having built a system that, according to her, favors a privileged minority at the expense of citizens. “Today we are faced with a reborn autocracy. The former system of violence is replaced today by the violence of corruption, the dictatorship of corruption. It is the ideology of the regime today that has built an economy that serves only clients and provides opportunities for crime,” the MP said.
She added that the consequences, according to her, are dramatic for the economy and the needy. "Industry and agriculture are bankrupt. Every poor person and pensioner knows the truth. Today, the corrupt make laws to protect each other. This is not the Albania of Albanians. Simple families count pennies, the middle class is being oppressed, taxes are increasing, while those at the top feed on privileges that are not returned to citizens," she declared.
