"Edi Rama has done his best to prevent you from winning the elections," how Albin Kurti responds to the provocative question

Albin Kurti rejected claims that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has done everything possible to prevent him from winning the December 28 elections.
Asked about this issue at the first media conference after the announcement of the preliminary results, Kurti said he was unaware of these actions.
"We cooperate with the Republic of Albania, with any government that is there, we have 58 agreements with Prime Minister Rama. I am not aware of those accusations that you said, but we are interested in the rapprochement with Albania increasing more and more. We have the unified primer from 2021 onwards, we have unified curricula for our compatriots in the world and we have Albania as the main trading partner in the region", Kurti said.
Kurti called the election victory the biggest in the country's history. "Now we have a lot of work ahead of us. Today's result shows that we must move forward without delay. The sooner the result is certified, the sooner we will continue with the projects," he said.
"I now invite the opposition parties to cooperate in the Assembly for international agreements, for good laws and for the public interest of the citizens of the Republic. Once again, congratulations, to each one without distinction, on the historic victory, which is well on its way to surpassing February 14, 2021. It was a long day, as well as a beautiful and important one ," he added.
The Vetëvendosje Movement has secured 49.79% of the votes in Kosovo's snap elections, held this Sunday. The preliminary results published by the Central Election Commission put Albin Kurti's party in first place, followed by PDK with 21.19%, LDK with 13.77% and AAK with 5.74%.
