The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has revealed details from the meeting of the Council of Mandates and Immunities, where the request of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) for the lifting of immunity and the arrest of Belinda Balluku was reviewed.
Invited to the show "This Week" on News24, Bardhi stated that the file presented to the Parliament is only related to one month of government, but according to him, the investigative material is much broader.
"The prosecutors stated that if all the wiretaps for the Balluku file were printed, it would take more than three vans of paper," said Bardhi, adding that the file itself that he reviewed contains about 16,000 pages and that it took him 10 days to read it.
"The file that came to the Assembly is about 1 month of governance. I know how the prosecutors said, if we print the wiretaps we have for the Balluku file, we would need more than 3 vans full of paper. It took me 10 days to get through the voluminous 16 thousand page Balluku file.
I do not read the content of the evidence. The strong ones divide tenders, determine and interact in tenders, what is clear and which the prosecutors used to seek to aggravate the position, was used by Balluku, a telephone conversation lasting over 11 minutes on November 20, 2025 where it is proven that the strong ones were used to intimidate witnesses. One of them had his father threatened in a city that is not in Tirana", declared Bardhi.
