"Put on your German..."/ Arta Dade sends a coded message to Rama: You'll need more than just the Albanian of protest!

Former Foreign Minister and one of the most prominent figures of the Socialist Party, Arta Dade, has reacted to Vox News after being identified among the characters involved in Prime Minister Edi Rama's post, where he mocked the protesters who have been gathering on the boulevard for days demanding his resignation.

He calls these characters " tam-tamexhin " and that with their gatherings, " they remembered that the boulevard became a yogurt parlor for their rusty spoons . "

Asked what she thinks about the language used by the prime minister, Dade, who, although she has withdrawn from active politics, continues to remain one of the most respected voices within the Albanian left, did not spare criticism and "advice" towards him.

" About his language? As a linguistics expert, I can say that his Albanian is manipulative, he understands English but cannot speak it, while he does not know German at all. I would suggest that he stick to German for the moment, because he will need it more than the Albanian of protest and undoubtedly more than the English of diplomatic corridors..." , Dade said.

The former minister does not explain her comment further, but the phrase " it will take more than the Albanian of protest " seems to have a political subtext.

Is this an irony for Rama's relations with European partners? Or a coded message regarding future developments that could put the prime minister in conflict with institutions or circles where the German language holds weight?

For years, Arta Dade has been among the most important personalities of the Socialist Party, former Foreign Minister, MP with several mandates, and one of the figures that even political opponents have considered the most dignified in Albanian politics.

A few days ago, Dade declined the invitation to participate in the activities organized by the Socialist Party for the 35th anniversary of its establishment, expressing reservations about the way the party is being run.
