Potentially hazardous asteroid passes near Earth today

An asteroid classified as "potentially hazardous" by NASA is expected to pass close to Earth today, attracting the attention of scientists and the public.

The space object, known as 2002 TB70, is about 164 meters long and will approach at a minimum distance of about 5.2 million kilometers from our planet.

According to NASA criteria, an asteroid is considered potentially hazardous if it is over 150 meters in diameter and passes closer than 7.5 million kilometers from Earth - conditions that this object meets.

However, experts emphasize that there is no risk of collision. Its passage is at a safe distance, but remains important for scientific studies and monitoring of near-Earth objects.
