One year after the Banjska attack, Kurti after visiting the Bunjaku family:

The fall of Afrim Bunjaku is evidence that Kosovo is both self-defeating and the enemy in every battle. This is what Prime Minister Albin Kurti said, after visiting the family of the hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku, killed a year ago in the terrorist attack in Banjska, Zveçani.

In a statement to journalists, Kurti stated that today no one can threaten the security and stability of his country, as the state controls the entire territory of the country, as he emphasized that the number of policemen is also increasing.

"Today, Kosovo does not have internal resources that undermine security and stability and that we cannot control or manage, but the part of Kosovo is the state of Kosovo, of the independent democratic republic. The number of young police officers and cadets is increasing. The morale of the police of our army has never been higher",  Kurti said.

According to the head of the government of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjak's sacrifice was worth it for the police, the state and future generations. Kurti emphasized that the enemy forces are hiding in Serbia after fleeing in shame from Kosovo a year ago.

"This sacrifice of the police sergeant, the hero of Kosovo, was worth it for the police, the state and the next generation. Those policemen who were in battle with him did not allow the dead body of our hero to fall into the hands of the enemy forces who were led by Serbian paramilitaries who had more weapons. They ran away in shame, they left their dead and wounded and today they are hiding in Serbia because they know that they have lost the battle with our country", said the Prime Minister.

He again accused Serbia of being responsible for the Banjska attack and asked the international community to hold Serbia accountable for this event.

"Serbia is responsible and must give responsibility and at this point we ask for the support of international factors".

Kurti also announced that the memory of the hero Afrim Bunjaku will be brought to life with the street named after him.

"We will live the ideals of the martyrs for us and we are living them. We will perpetuate our memory of them. Today in Banjska, a sign has been placed on Afrim Bunjaku street. This is the path of all of us. Glory to Afrim Bunjak and the martyrs of Kosovo!".
