November of Berisha's Abandonment

Today, on the boulevard that Sali Berisha once saw as his personal backyard, one of the most grotesque scenes of his career took place: a protest called out loudly, but held in front of an imaginary audience, because real people… did not come. The irony is that this happened precisely when Edi Rama’s government is so steeped in corruption that even corruption itself has begun to blush with shame. But even with Rama in the mire, Berisha can no longer pick up the pieces of his former mobs.
The Boulevard today looked like a day off for the opposition: a few scattered groups, some sad banners, a muted noise. It was like watching a party where no one came, but the organizer insists on dancing just to avoid accepting reality. The lack of people was not just a number; it was an act of accusation. Today, there was a lack of trust, and in politics this is more deadly than any SPAK file.
Why did the citizens abandon Berisha? The reasons are so obvious that they no longer require explanation, but let's say it out loud:
First, because people correctly understood that these protests are not about Albania, but about Saliu. They are an attempt to force his personal troubles on the country. A man from the corridor commented: “He calls us for justice, but for what justice? The one he needs?” This is the question that is destroying the protests much more than the lack of crowds.
Second, the DP that Berisha holds in his hands is a political museum in motion. No new figure, no vision, no hope – just a few moldy fireworks that can no longer light. Today it became clear: it is a party that protests out of inertia, not out of ideas.
Third, citizens are tired of the cynical game, “choose between Rama and Berisha.” When people have to choose between two evils, they usually choose… the sofa, and they proved this today with their participation.
Today the protest did not fail. Today Berisha's personal bankruptcy was exposed.
It no longer captivates. It doesn't inspire. It doesn't scare. It doesn't excite. In fact, the only thing it manages to evoke is a collective question: "What about this one?"
Even when the Rama government only needs a match to explode, Berisha fails to ignite the citizens. When he fails to capitalize on popular anger in a golden moment, then the problem is not the people, the problem is you.
This is its greatest failure: when society is angry with the government, but not enough to come after you. Then you haven't lost the battle; you've lost credibility.
Today, citizens gave a brutal message in its simplicity: Today the protest was not abandoned, but today Berisha was abandoned.
This is the November of his abandonment and for him, this is not the end of the road, it is only the beginning of emptiness.
