Elbasan, police conduct checks in the area near the University, suspected of a prostitution ring

A State Police operation was conducted this evening in one of the neighborhoods near the University in the city of Elbasan, where it is suspected that an illegal activity related to prostitution was being carried out.

Preliminary sources indicate that during the police intervention, several people were escorted to the police station, while materials that could be used for further investigations were also seized.

Authorities have not yet provided official details on the number of detainees or the role of each of them, while the Elbasan Police are expected to issue a full announcement in the coming hours.

Investigations continue to fully uncover the activity and identify all persons involved.
