Albania has launched a strategy for the so-called silver economy by creating facilities for foreign pensioners who wish to stay in our country.

The parliamentary laws committee approved a project to exempt them from taxation.

In fact, the initiative was implemented after a letter from 3,000 Italian citizens who have chosen to stay in Albania.

According to the government representative, this decision equates foreign pensioners with those in Albania in terms of fiscal treatment.

Another change is the tax exemption for self-employed blind people.
