Misunderstanding with the "independent" candidates of Berishism, the goal is not power but the monopoly of the opposition!

After the heavy defeat of Berisha’s “independent” candidates in the local by-elections, reactions began immediately criticizing the failure of the DP and Berisha’s strategy to enter the elections with independent candidates. At the heart of these reactions was the idea that the DP should have faced the SP itself and not hidden behind independent candidates, who in fact were not even supported by its structures.
The fundamental problem with the above criticism is the assumption that the essence of Berisha’s electoral strategy was victory in the local elections. It is a reasonable assumption in democratic theory where the opposition has as its main goal coming to power, but which has no connection with the political logic of the Berisha “opposition”.
The main goal of the latter is not to come to power, as it is clear that with Berisha at the helm, this is impossible. Therefore, the main goal of Berishaism today is to maintain the opposition monopoly. This means eliminating any social or political factor that could jeopardize Berishaism's control of the political opposition.
If we base our political analysis on the above assumption, we understand that in the by-elections, Berishism not only did not fail with the "independent candidates" but had a resounding success. The failure of the latter is in fact Berishism's greatest political victory.
With the spectacular failure of the independent candidates, Berishism "proved" that in Albania there is no political alternative not only to Rama, but also to the Berishist opposition. The fact that the "independents" failed more profoundly than the Berishist candidates will be used as evidence of the impossibility of forming opposition alternatives outside the swamp of the DP.
For this reason, the DP and its leader took all measures to ensure that independent candidates would successfully fail. First, Berisha's nomination or public support stripped them of any political capital they could claim as independents. Second, the shattered structures of the DP had neither the opportunity, nor the motivation, nor the push from the Berisha family to support these candidates, who were set up to lose.
Let's be clear, we are not dealing with a political conspiracy, nor with some carefully thought-out strategy on the part of Berisha. We are simply dealing with a cold political logic that stems from the fact that the DP has now been reduced to a party that serves only to keep the Berisha family politically alive.
Ndaj kërcënimi kryesor me të cilin përballet sot berishimzi nuk është pushteti i Ramës, por formësimi i figurave apo alternativave politike jashtë hijes së saj. Pushteti vendor është një nga hapësirat ku ky rrezik është më akut. Prodhimi i një figure apo lëvizje politike në nivel kombëtar shpesh është më i vështirë se sa në nivel lokal.
Pikërisht për këtë arësye si PD-ja edhe PS-ja nxitojnë që të eleminojnë, kooptojnë apo të djegin cdo embrion politik që lind jashtë bipolarizmit PD-PS. Natyrisht që procesi i eleminimit të alternativave politike është më i lehtë për PS-në. Nëpërmjet pushtetit të saj ajo tërheq dhe kap figura të PD-së në nivel lokal që janë të pakënaqura nga berishizmi, duke i emëruar në pozicione qeverisëse.
Përveçse e dobëson opozitën berishiste kjo strategji eleminon edhe lindjen e çfarëdolloj alternative politike në nivel lokal. Sidomos po të kemi parasysh se individët që kap Rama kanë eksperiencë organizative dhe një farë kapitali social dhe politik në nivel vendor.
Ndaj kooptimi i tyre nga pushteti socialist me një gur vret dy zogj, dobëson opozitën berishiste dhe eleminon çdo embrion politik që nesër mund të transformohet në alternative politike në nivel lokal.
Në këtë mënyrë Rama jo vetëm e bën më asimetrik, por edhe mban gjallë bipolaritetin PS- PD, pasi formësimi i çdo alternative politike në nivel vendor rrezikon patericën e kryesore të pushtetit, opozitën berishiste.
Ndryshe nga pushteti Rama, berishizmi nuk ka as kapacitetin as interesin të kap, kooptojë apo punësojë figura me kapital social në nivel vendor apo qendror. Nuk ka interes sepse një bashkie fituar nga një figurë popullore e opozitës, por që nuk kontrollohet nga Berisha, qoftë edhe në Cërrik, ofron një shpresë dhe model alternativ për opozitarizmin e PD-së. Kjo përbën rrezik për monopolin berishist të opozitës që si lëndë djegëse ka dëshpërimin.
Natyrisht që berishizmit i mungon edhe kapaciteti, sidomos krahasuar me pushtetin, pasi vendet e punësimit që mund të ofrojë janë të kufizuara ose tek struktura partiake dhe grupi parlamentar ose tek televizioni i familjes.
Ndaj funksioni i berishizmit është djegia politike e figuara të pavarura, apo e çdo embrioni politik që lind nga shoqëria civile. Për këtë qëllim PD-ja nuk u fsheh aspak pas “të pavarurve” por i përqafoi ata publikisht duke larguar njëkohësisht si elektoratin gri edhe atë berishist, që kërkonte kandidatët e tij.
Rezultati është një humbje e “të pavarurve” më e thellë se ajo e të varurve që tashmë ka filluar të përdoret si justifikim për riciklimin e berishizmit. Që tani në media kanë filluar parrullat e tipit, “me Ramën nuk ka zgjedhje”, “në Shqipëri nuk ka të pavarur”, “berishizmi është opozita më fortë e mundëshme përballë Ramës”, “në Shqipëri është e pamundur lindja e një force të re”.
Është një ligjërim dëshpërues që i shërben sa Ramës edhe Berishës. Së pari, sepse e demoralizon elektoratin opozitar në atë pikë saqë i garanton Ramës zgjedhjet e ardhëshme. Së dyti, sepse ky ligjërim injoron ekzistencën e opozitarizmit real që gjithnjë e më shumë po sendërtohet në Tiranë tek forca politike si Lëvizja Bashkë.
Debatet bosh në lidhje me pavarësinë e të varurve nga berishizmi, me kapjen e berishizmit nga Rama, apo me strategjinë politike që duhet të kish ndjekur Berisha për të fituar zgjedhje që nuk i fiton dot, në fakt shërbejnë për të zhvendosur vëmendjen nga kandidat si Arlind Qori apo forca politike si Lëvizja Bashkë që flasin për problemet reale të qytetarëve që po e rrisin gjithnjë e më tepër mbështetjen e tyre elektorale.
Unlike the Rama-Berisha noise, which focuses on both Rama's and Berisha's problems, the Together Movement and its candidate Qori talk about high prices, the low quality of education, the lack of public spaces where children should play, the reduced hours of public schools that make parenting difficult, the collapsed public transport or the rights of workers and miners.
These are "banal" issues for our media ecosystem that served as the bellwether of the Rama-Berisha debate, where more important than the lack of a quality highway or the Tirana-Durres train is the political independence of candidate Florjan Bino.
Precisely for this reason, any political embryo that could start talking to citizens about "banal" issues that simply have to do with their survival should be eliminated or sidelined instead of crying out about the more important problems of Berisha, Rama, Veliaj, or Balluk.
The partial local elections achieved this objective. They burned a good handful of independent candidates at the local level who will soon, surely, find refuge in Rama's government. In this respect, they were a political victory for both Rama and Berisha, who will continue their confrontation in the upcoming elections to be recycled endlessly.
For citizens to win, they must vote in the upcoming local elections for those political candidates who have nothing to do with Rama, Berisha, or their satellites.
It is an easy and clear choice, between those who cry out for the troubles of the citizens and those who cry out for the troubles of the government./ Lapsi.al
