US, Trump refuses to participate in European summits, only in case of signing of peace

"The peace plan is: take it or leave it," this was the message that US President Donald Trump sent yesterday to European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, declining the invitation to travel to Paris tomorrow and Berlin on Monday, according to "La Repubblica".
The American president would only agree if it involved signing a peace agreement.
According to him, the negotiation phase is over and he will not engage in discussions that only serve to delay the end of the war.
The message came from White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt.
"The president doesn't want to talk anymore, he wants action. If there's a real chance of signing a peace agreement, if we think those meetings are worthy, we will send a representative. President Trump is fed up with meetings just for the sake of meetings. He doesn't want to talk anymore, he wants action," Leavitt said.
"The United States and the Trump administration remain committed to ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. President Trump held a phone call with the Europeans on Wednesday. His special envoy, Witkoff, and team will continue talks with both sides," she said.
"However, Trump's participation in the planned meetings in Europe will depend only on a real possibility of signing a peace agreement," the spokeswoman stressed.
