"Russia is advancing slowly", NATO: Aid to Ukraine will continue

A senior NATO general has stated that Russia is advancing very slowly on the ground, taking some territory, but at a very high cost in human lives, especially on the Russian side.
In a statement to international media, he stressed that aid to Ukraine will not stop, while adding that Kiev is still able to hold the front line thanks to the support of allies.
"It's never enough, but it's enough to keep Ukraine at war. Every day we see very slow Russian progress, with many soldiers killed on the Russian side. This shows that Ukraine is managing to defend the front line and airspace," the general said.
He stressed that Europe must do more for its security, acknowledging that in the past the commitment has not been sufficient. According to him, the war in Ukraine is directly related to European security.
The general also noted that the United States' commitment to Ukraine remains strong and unwavering, which, according to him, is also reflected in the daily cooperation with American forces in Germany and other European countries.
"I see no sign of withdrawing support for Ukraine, although final decisions will also depend on political developments," he concluded.
