US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a three-hour meeting at the White House on Wednesday. The meeting focused on the issue of Iran and Washington's ongoing contacts with Tehran.

Trump stressed in a tweet that he is in favor of continuing talks with the aim of reaching a deal. He added that last time, Iran decided it was better not to make a deal and got hit.

"I just finished my meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel, Mr. Netanyahu, and various of his representatives. It was a very good meeting, the excellent relations between our two countries continue."

Nothing conclusive was achieved, except that I insisted that negotiations with Iran continue, to see if an agreement could be reached. If that is possible, I informed the Prime Minister that that would be preferable. If that is not possible, we will have to see what the outcome is.
