US President Donald Trump has spoken in an interview in the US and faced questions about the prospects of a deal with Iran.

Despite the stalled talks, the president claimed that Iran would stop enriching uranium and abandon any efforts to build a nuclear weapon.

"100% they will stop," Trump told WABC.

Trump claimed to have spoken personally with Iranian officials during the talks.

"I'm dealing with them," Trump said.

“And they said we’ll get the dust. I call it nuclear dust because it’s convenient. And we’ll get it.”

He added: "We're not going to rush anything, we have a blockade."
