Part of the investigative file into the murder of police officer Enea Mekolli and the wounding of Edison Adri has been released. According to the official document, Mekolli was hit and killed before he could fire his weapon, while the exchange of fire took place between Braçellari and other police officers.
"This operational plan was also based on the report made by citizen AK, 32 years old, who had been working as a shepherd for several days on the cattle of citizen Violand Braçellari on the Bode mountain and who, according to the report made by him, had been raped and threatened with an automatic weapon by Violand. According to him, Violand was standing at the cattle stables and that he had an automatic weapon and a hunting rifle.
For this reason, on 04.06.2026, in the morning at around 07.00, the forces of the Korça Police Department, organized according to the drawn-up operation plan, approached the Bode Mountain near the place where this citizen has stables. The buildings were surrounded, as there were several buildings there. Without the proper surrounding, citizen Violand started shooting at the police officers and as a result, police officer Enea Mekolli was killed with a gun and police officer Edison Adri was injured , "the file states.
"Citizen Violand Braçellari attempted to run away in the direction below the stables, but as a result of the exchange of fire he was wounded and was captured a few meters below the stables. Near the place where this citizen was captured, a model 56 automatic weapon, caliber 7.62mm, was found, which was empty and had no cartridges. The weapon was found with the magazine installed, the bayonet in the closed position, the butt and a fragment of nylon material, which imitates the weapon's belt. In a segment of it, at a length of 10 cm, the rope presents a reddish stain similar to that of blood. The weapon has a comb with a capacity of 30 cartridges, where on its inside it presents a reddish stain similar to that of blood. The lever for changing the type of fire is in the single-shot firing position. After the comb was removed, it was found that there are no cartridges inside it. On the left arm, on the metal body, the number 5617076736 is stamped. Also, two reddish blood stains were found in this place, from which samples were taken for biological examination. “Nga këqyrja në vendin e ngjarjes është konstatuar se kufoma e punonjësit të Policisë Enea Mekolli gjendet rreth 8 metra nga muri i stallës së fundit të bagëtive në tokë dhe nga këqyrja në vend është konstatuar se kishte dëmtime në pjesën e kokës, qafës, në vesh, në pjesën e gjoksit dhe në këmbë. Following the inspection in this area, the model 56 cartridge cases, caliber 7.62mm found on the ground were found and seized, all of which were seized as material evidence. In the rear left side of the first stable and in front of the left wall of the second stable, 4 cartridges, metallic bronze color, caliber 9 mm, with the inscription GECP 9mm LUGGER on the end, were found and seized as material evidence in connection with the incident.
