New details have emerged from the tragic accident that took the life of Albanian footballer Fatjon Bunjaku, revealing that the car was driven by the 22-year-old.

According to Kosovo police, the car accident occurred in the area of ​​the village of Maxhunaj, in which two other people who were present in the car with the footballer were injured.

The Kosovo Police statement states that the tragic accident was reported at around 00:55 and as a result, three people suffered bodily injuries and were transported to the hospital for necessary treatment.

Despite the white shirts' efforts to keep him alive, it is learned that the footballer closed his eyes forever at 07:50, as a result of the injuries he sustained.

"By order of the competent prosecutor, the victim's body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy. Investigators from the Regional Traffic Unit are conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident ," the police statement said.

Regarding the tragic loss of the 22-year-old footballer, the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, has also reacted and expressed condolences to the family for the loss of their son.
