Killed a policeman and injured another, arrest and imprisonment for the perpetrator Violand Braçellari

Violand Braçellari, the perpetrator of the murder of police officer Enea Mekolli and the wounding of officer Edison Adri, is being held in "prison arrest" security measure.

The prosecutor in the case and Judge Gentian Sallahu communicated the security measure to him at the Trauma Hospital, where he is hospitalized.

Braçellari is accused of the serious incident that occurred on June 4, during the operation undertaken to arrest him.

Hiding in his tent, when he spotted the police officers, he is suspected of shooting at them with a Kalashnikov.

The day before the operation was organized, the police had received information on the operational route that Braçellari had come down from the mountain and stayed for several hours in the village of Lozhan.
