The dynamics of the gunfight in Rrile, Lezha, have been revealed through security camera footage, which shows that the perpetrators had accurate information about Merando Nikulaj's presence in the barbershop.
It is learned that two of the masked perpetrators, armed with baseball bats, entered the salon, leading to a fierce exchange of fire in which the owner of the barbershop, Sokol Daci, was accidentally wounded.
The dynamics of the gunfight that occurred in Rrile, Lezha, are revealed, where the target is suspected to have been Merando Nikulaj and the owner of the barbershop Sokol Daci was mistakenly wounded with 3 bullets in the body.
Referring to security camera footage, it is learned that the perpetrators, some of whom are already wanted, had accurate information that 21-year-old Nikulaj was in the salon.
They approached the barbershop in two different vehicles. Two of the perpetrators went to the barbershop disguised with hoods on their heads and were holding baseball bats in their hands. From the examination of security cameras, investigators have raised strong suspicions that in order to neutralize them, the first to fire a gun was the general patrol officer, Besart Kovaçi, 24 years old. After encountering the shooting, the other perpetrators who were in the two vehicles fired over 30 Kalashnikov bullets in the direction of the salon.
Up to this stage of the investigation, 3 of the suspects have been identified, Gerardo Ndoka, Eliseo Ndoka and Kevin Ndoka, who have been declared wanted on charges of attempted murder.
In addition to Sokol Daci, the target himself, Merando Nikulaj, is also suspected of being wounded in the leg. The police have also announced the search for 21-year-old Nikulaj for the same criminal offense. He is also suspected of having fired a gun from inside the barbershop, and may have also been wounded in the leg.
The police are conducting checks in several areas where it is suspected that the wanted persons may be hiding, but it has not been possible to track them down. Meanwhile, by order of the prosecutor, officer Besart Kovaçi was detained on suspicion of abuse of office. The 24-year-old police officer was in Nikulaj's company at the time of the incident.
The cause of the gunfight is suspected to be a conflict that occurred a year ago between members of the Ndoka and Merando Nikulaj families. The fight between them took place in March 2025, in the Kuna area of Shëngjin.
At that time, Merando Nikulaj and a cousin of his were involved in a fight near the beach area, where the families also have a hotel business. In that fight, two young men from the Nikulaj family are suspected of having hit two young men from the Ndoka tribe with a motorbike, which then led to a physical conflict, where baseball bats and hard objects were used.
