Hazardous waste affair/ Rama's candidate for deputy for Tirana also arrested

Kledina Skëndo, an employee in the Environmental Permit Monitoring Sector at the National Environment Agency (KTA), has been involved in the investigations of the Durrës Prosecutor's Office into the scandal of hazardous waste exported from the port of Durrës.

She has been placed under house arrest as part of a criminal proceeding involving several officials and former officials related to the company's activities.

Skëndo was also a candidate for deputy of the Socialist Party, ranked 34th on the Tirana list during the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
