Police officer Enea Mekolli will be laid to rest in the cemetery of his native village.

The soldier's family, according to journalist Xhensila Kodra, requested that the deceased not be buried in the martyrs' cemetery, as the status for martyrs of the homeland provides, but in his village.

The family's request comes because they had another son who was effective and who lost his life as a result of an illness.

The family has requested that the two sons be laid to rest next to each other. Enea Mekolli's funeral will take place at 2 pm on Friday, while the tributes will be held at 12 noon in Pogradec.
