Pogradec police have arrested two people in flagrante delicto, who attempted to rob a jeweler in collaboration.
According to the police report, citizens KT, 23 years old, and BM, 22 years old, residents of Mamurras, Laç, were arrested.
It is suspected that these citizens, in collaboration with other persons, on March 20 attempted to rob a jewelry store owned by citizen LA. They attempted to force open the shutter and broke the glass of the store's entrance door, but were unable to take any items from the premises.
The police operation codenamed "Jewelry" is being finalized, to uncover and document the attempted robbery at a jewelry store, which occurred a few days ago in the city of Pogradec.
The 2 suspected perpetrators are identified, arrested and put in custody, and 1 other is criminally prosecuted, who committed actions to prevent the discovery of the truth.
The services of the Pogradec Police Commissariat, following the intensive investigative work to clarify and document the event that occurred a few days ago, in neighborhood no. 5, Pogradec, where several people attempted to rob a jeweler, in cooperation with the structures of the Kurbin Police Commissariat, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Jeweler", to capture and hold the suspected perpetrators legally accountable.
As a result of the operation, the following citizens were caught and arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Theft", committed in collaboration and remaining in the attempt:
KT, 23 years old, and BM, 22 years old, residents of Mamurras, Laç.
The materials were also referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated for the criminal offense of "Actions that impede the discovery of the truth" against a 29-year-old man, about whom, for investigative reasons, further details cannot be disclosed.
From the investigative actions carried out and the evidence collected, it is suspected that these citizens, in collaboration with other persons, on 20.03.2026, attempted to steal the jewelry store owned by citizen LA, by attempting to force open the shutter and breaking the glass of the store's entrance door, but were unable to take any items from this premises.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action.
