"They are arbitrarily expelling me", Doris Madhi makes strong accusations against Blendi Himçi for the elections in the Elbasan Democratic Party

The leader of the right-wing councilors' group in the Elbasan Municipal Council, academic Doris Madhi, has publicly denounced her exclusion from the Democratic Party's membership list in this branch, raising strong accusations of manipulation of the electoral process.

In a statement, Madhi announced that her name does not appear on the membership lists, although she has been part of the DP for nearly eight years and one of the most active voices in local structures.

She emphasized that the decision to suspend her membership was communicated outside any legal deadline and without respecting statutory procedures, describing the process as completely irregular.

Madhi has made direct accusations against Democratic Party MP Blendi Himçi, whom she considers responsible for the situation in the Elbasan branch. According to her, he is unfairly interfering in the electoral process for personal and political interests.

" Decisions are made arbitrarily and outside of any rules. This process is no longer democratic ," said Madhi, adding that other figures from the party's structures have also been excluded.

She also argued that the procedure for expelling a member must respect clear deadlines, according to the DP statute, which according to her did not happen in this case.

In her statement, Madhi also raised suspicions of politically motivated decision-making and internal influences that, according to her, damage the integrity of the Democratic Party in Elbasan.

Despite the situation, she expressed her determination to continue her political engagement and represent the citizens in the Municipal Council, emphasizing that she will not back down from her positions.

Until now, there has been no official reaction from MP Blendi Himçi or the central structures of the Democratic Party regarding these accusations.

The situation in the DP branch in Elbasan seems to be accompanied by internal tensions, while the process for electing the new chairman remains contested.
