Under the leadership of Archbishop Joan, Orthodox believers celebrate Black Friday in the capital

Orthodox believers in Tirana, but also in other cities in Albania, celebrated Black Friday today, one of the most important days in the religious calendar, a few days before the Orthodox Easter holiday.

This day marks the commemoration of the suffering of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice, symbolizing the moment of crucifixion and death on the cross.

Hundreds of believers participated in the Epitaph ceremony, which took place at the Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Tirana, under the leadership of Archbishop Joan of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.

After the religious rites were completed, the epitaph, accompanied by Orthodox believers, described the streets near the Cathedral in Tirana.
